Education
Legal Voice offers educational resources and trainings to help community members understand their rights and use the law as a tool for justice.
Resource Library
Legal Voice secures legal protections for those facing gender discrimination and oppression. But we know these rights have little meaning if people do not know how to use them. That’s why we offer a free legal resource library on our website. Most of our publications are for Washington state, but we are expanding our library to include other states.
Educational Events
Throughout the year, Legal Voice hosts educational events that break down complex legal issues. To see what’s coming up, visit our Events page. To be the first to hear about new programming, join our email list.
If you don’t see the event you’re looking for, we may be able to bring it to you. We offer free presentations and trainings for community groups, schools, workplaces, and other organizations.
To request an event, email us at info@legalvoice.org. Please include your organization’s name, audience, preferred topic, location (or virtual format), and proposed date(s). The list below provides an overview of the types of events we typically host.
Know-Your-Rights & Know-Your-Risks Trainings

Legislative Session Debriefs
At the end of each state’s legislative session, our local policy advocates share the highlights. We cover the bills that passed, those that failed, and the work that’s on the horizon.
Analyses of Landmark Cases
Want insight into the major cases shaping our region and country? Join our legal experts to learn the stories behind the cases and their impacts on our lives. No need to read hundreds of pages of court documents yourself.
Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Programs
We offer continuing legal education programs for attorneys and legal professionals who want to sharpen their expertise. These events provide timely analyses of emerging legal issues, policy developments, and litigation strategies related to gender justice.
